Hard-Shell construction sets the standard for what a tough, reliable helmet is meant to be and is characterized by bonding an injection molded ABS shell to a layer of impact absorbing EPS foam. The lightweight EPS forms the inner layer of the “Hard-Shell” and is the primary component that crushes during impact to absorb and dissipate energy. Cradling the EPS is an injection molded ABS “Hard” Shell that protects the EPS from dings and nicks. -
Passive-Channel Venting™
Channels on the inside surface of the EPS direct air-flow between your head and the helmet, removing moisture and excess heat; keeping you dry and comfortable all day long. Available on all K2 helmets. -
Goggle-Compatibility
K2 Helmets' universal brim designs work in partnership with the helmet-driven topline design and custom engineered strap brackets of our goggle frames, to achieve maximum helmet/goggle fit and compatibility. The combination of Active Matrix™ and Passive Channel™ venting systems on our helmets and carefully distributed lens vents on our goggles, minimize moisture buildup and maximize air circulation, ensuring a clear field of vision and optimized temperature control in various conditions.

its a good helmet but needs something to secure the bottom of the goggle cilp.

My son lost a brand new pair of goggles today due to the poor design of the clip. The clip has a screw at top and loosely clips at the bottom. Goggles easily slide out from the clip.

I think this is the most amazing helmet ever!!!! It's so cool! I love it. I sleep in it! It's awesome! On top of all that, my phone is called "Rant" just like this super cool helmet!

fits really well with toque or without and gogs underneath and looks super good
also pretty heavy and the audio is not at all loud enough, kind of sucks,

Great helmet. Fits best with beanie under. You put it on and forget its there. Also love the part about being able to just drop in the audio speakers into the ear pads.
But one thing that just makes me go "why?", is the goggle clip. It was probably designed by someone who never wore goggles over the helmet. Its a piece of soft plastic with one screw attached, and if you pull your goggles off your face, they will slide to the back and slip out from under the clip. I had to retrieve my goggles from under the lift twice past weekend because of it.
