At Taos, we are just 1 month out from our K2 Women’s Weekend and just the mention of all those lovely ladies hitting the slopes brought us huge amounts of snow! Close to 30 inches last week and it looks like more is coming this week. Woo-hoo!
What with all the snow, I thought we should add a snow-safety component to our weekend and instead of just drinking wine and chatting we will be learning something about avalanches and snow during our meet and greeet on February 19th.   The best part though, is that long time K2 skier and all around amazing lady Rachel Moscarella, who is the head of our Snow Safety Program at Taos will be giving the talk. I am pretty certain she is the only femal snow safety director around.

Rachel has patrolled here for more that 20 years, and holds her own beautifully in a group of really tough patrollers. I am psyched that she has agreed to do our talk and hope that any one of you alliance ladies or other ladies that is interested in coming down for the weekend will give a holler.
