Lock Jaw Clamping Mechanism
Lock Jaw Clamping Mechanism is a revolutionary patent pending over-center cam design provides greater clamping power and easier release than similar clamps making it effortless to adjust while wearing gloves.
Probe
We recommend carrying a regular probe; however the two carbon lowers of your poles screw together to make a great back-up probe. Simply remove the baskets and screw the lower shafts together.
Composite
Composite construction consists of 100% synthetic fibers for a lighter weight pole with better strength than Aluminum
Carbon Fiber
Synthetic fiber with extremely strong, lightweight characteristics.
Up to 2.5 times the strength of aluminum at half the weight.
Snow Depth Ruler
Inverted centimeter markings allow you to flip the pole upside down, probe with the grip and quickly measure ski penetration, boot penetration, or the depth of a snow layer you’re concerned about.
Carbide Tip

Aluminum

Dual Density Adventure Grip
The Adventure grip features a utility hook that allows you to easily adjust your touring binding heel lifts, or unbuckle your boots. The dual density grip is made from a soft TPR material for superior grip, comfortable gloveless skinning and multiple hand positions while climbing. The top of the grip is contoured for comfort while palming the top of your pole yet low-profile enough to still function as a snow depth ruler.
Lock Jaw Carbon/Alu Probe
The 2010-11 K2 LockJaw Carbon/Alu pole is the ultimate BackSide skier tool, combining an inclinometer, snow depth ruler and back up probe with an adjustable length carbon pole. The LockJaw mechanism makes adjusting the pole length simple and fast with gloves on or off. Using the two poles together the slope angle can be easily measured, while a single pole can be used to measure snow depth. For a backup probe you always have with you, the carbon lowers have an integrated connection system to link them together. This Adventure pole comes with the BackSide rubber overmolded grip.
