All Terrain Rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound
All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.

Mod Technology
High-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. -
Hybritech Sidewalls
Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. -
Integrated Hub Technology
Titanal hubs are imbedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power. The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding and the edge of the ski for added performance. -
Mod Monic
A Focused Mass-DampenerThe Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at a targeted location. -
Metal Laminate
Built with two sheets of lightweight Titanal running the length of the ski, metal-laminate skis are the highest performing and most complex construction available from K2. Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. Metal-laminates provide dampened, accurate, unshakable performance ideal for expert-level skiers. -
Progressive Sidecut
Progressive sidecut is a combination of two different radii, or sidecuts, that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis. Standard sidecut theory is based on using a single radius. This works well on narrower skis, but becomes overpowering on wider skis, especially in variable conditions. The use of progressive sidecut on wider-waist skis guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
This review is super early season, after skiing only 4 times on the Aftershocks. I was so excited, however, that I had to write a review.
I ski in Montana, where the snow conditions are incredibly variable, from dodging rocks in ice to 4 feet of champagne powder. This ski is unbelievable in handling everything. I tear down the groomers exactly the same as in my race skis, and even moguls are easy with the 17m turn radius (which I think is even smaller). I was fortunate enough to ski early season deep powder (3 feet), and they handle like a dream. The tip never dipped due to the rocker, and they floated very well above the rocks, since there was no base yet. The only complaint is how heavy these are, but I've found it doesn't matter, because they're even more agile than a lighter ski I have. In short: I'm in love with the Aftershocks...and the season has barely started.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
I use this ski as an all mountain ski from the cirque headwall at Snowmass to the Bowl at Aspen Highlands. This is a really fun ski to use all around the mountain but by far the most fun I have had using it is on the days where it isn't quite deep enough for the Pontoons (4-8 in of fresh snow) and it floats like a dream. The only problem for this ski is that on the front metal piece, the paint wears off after a couple months. Overall this is a great ski and would highly recommend it.

Bought my K2 Aftershock 174 cm at the end of season, to replace my old Apache Recoon´s. The Aftershock´s looked so great so I just had to try´em. Went to Stubai glacier, Austria second week of May and had one of the best skiing experiences of my life. These skies really handled all types of snow. Remarkably quick and easy turning even in heavy, wet snow but also very calm in bad snow conditions like hard, icy crud. Great fun! Try a pair...

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
This ski excels in chopped powder and shallow powder, crud, soft moguls and steeps. Not a great ski for groomers (kinda squirrely on flats at speed but still fun) but who wants to spend any time on groomers? This ski instantly made me a much better skier in chopped powder and soft moguls. My first set of new skis in ten years, I never knew skis could make such a big difference.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
I have skied the 181cm K2 Aftershocks for a week now; it is truly a great all terrain and snow ski as advertised. The Aftershock performed well in a wide variety of snow conditions, from boot top powder, stiff chopped crud to extremely firm hard pack. The Aftershock took a bit more energy to make it perform well, in tight spots in deep powder, than the 174cm Sidestash, most likely because of the length, width, stiffness and weight. FYI I have not buried a tip yet on the 174cm Sidestash and I have tried, I am very happy with the 174cm length of the Sidestash, I can ski extremely tight lines with confidence. However, if I had only one ski, it would definitely be the 181cm Aftershock! The Aftershock can do it all!!!!!!

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
If you don't like groomers, get these skies. I've been skiing for 48 years and love skiing crud, powder, chopped powder, trees, moguls and as little as possible on groomers. I bought the 167's. These skies plow through the powder and turn right now. Tips never dove when turning or going straight. Skies floated and bombed in which ever direction you pointed them. If this is your style you will not be disapointed! Oh, did I mention I have never had a bad pair of K2's.
