All Terrain Rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound
All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.

Mod Technology
High-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. -
Hybritech Sidewalls
Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. -
Integrated Hub Technology
Titanal hubs are imbedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power. The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding and the edge of the ski for added performance. -
Mod Monic
A Focused Mass-DampenerThe Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at a targeted location. -
Metal Laminate
Built with two sheets of lightweight Titanal running the length of the ski, metal-laminate skis are the highest performing and most complex construction available from K2. Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. Metal-laminates provide dampened, accurate, unshakable performance ideal for expert-level skiers. -
Progressive Sidecut
Progressive sidecut is a combination of two different radii, or sidecuts, that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis. Standard sidecut theory is based on using a single radius. This works well on narrower skis, but becomes overpowering on wider skis, especially in variable conditions. The use of progressive sidecut on wider-waist skis guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.

Truly an all-mountain ski, I took these puppies from Mont-Tremblant to Chamonix and they performed extremely well in all conditions! Although heavy to hold, the skis are surprisingly light on your feet in moguls, glades or powered. Extremely versatile. Must say I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Just got back from Italy and we had off piste powder, groomed and then icy piste. All taken without any problem, I was amazed at the all round capabilities of this ski (my personal performance was a different matter). In particular the powder and carving abilities, first time that I have managed to find a ski that ticked both boxes. Am off again next week and will definately try for these again.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
While I am a true beginner since I've only been on skies once before (I'm a boarder), by my second run I was able to control short turns to control my speed but was going down the mountain faster than other people (maybe because I wasn't really sure what I was doing) but was able to stay on my feet without doing the pizza pie/french fry to stop and go. The next day, I was very sore because I fell a lot my first run (all this without lesson one) but second run much more successful (falling only a few times); even though of the rough day on the slopes, I'm very excited to get back out on these aftershocks and possible to hang up my boarding days as I'm 41 this year and am looking for stability/fun/excitement/ as I get older; where as a board is somewhat a young mans sports even though I'm still looking for kickers, rails, trees, and diamonds. Thanks to the [@]staff for pointing me towards these skies.I only rate these skies as a 4 because I am not knowledgeable enough about skiing in general to really talk about differences but - I'm a happy customer thus far.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
Great SOFT snow ski in any snow conditions: Powder, Sierra Cement, Varied snow conditions from SOfT Groom with ridges, piles of snow & different snow temperatures. 4th of July @ 75 degrees just tore up the mountain. Good in heavy western crud and turn initiation a pleasure. The tip just floats over everything & first impression is that it takes the teraine out of the mountain...
However, it is not a carving ski and on hard pack you can slide down the mountain safely but carving turns is not in the ski.

Worked well this weekend in the Austrian Alps, conditions were only fair but the 174cm handled it all top to bottom. Floats great, carves great, handled the garbage in the afternoon. Best skis I've used so far.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
So I just started skiing this year after being a snowboarder for several years. I've been renting "beginner" skis until this weekend when I demo'ed both the Aftershocks and Volkl RTM 84's. The Aftershocks were way better. I carved all over the mountain at speeds that I'm usually terrified at. I'm a little to much of a newbie to buy them just yet but I won't lie it took all my willpower to not buy them when I returned them. So if your a beginner looking to try a more intermediate to advanced ski these are awesome.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
Even in horrible conditions this ski made me want to ski the next day. Skied snow mass this week and bought these skis because I was bored and didn't want to ski in bad conditions. This ski handled the junk incredibly well. Made me fall in love with skiing again! I can't wait to ski in good conditions later this month.

Comments about K2 Skis Aftershock:
This review is super early season, after skiing only 4 times on the Aftershocks. I was so excited, however, that I had to write a review.
I ski in Montana, where the snow conditions are incredibly variable, from dodging rocks in ice to 4 feet of champagne powder. This ski is unbelievable in handling everything. I tear down the groomers exactly the same as in my race skis, and even moguls are easy with the 17m turn radius (which I think is even smaller). I was fortunate enough to ski early season deep powder (3 feet), and they handle like a dream. The tip never dipped due to the rocker, and they floated very well above the rocks, since there was no base yet. The only complaint is how heavy these are, but I've found it doesn't matter, because they're even more agile than a lighter ski I have. In short: I'm in love with the Aftershocks...and the season has barely started.
