Mod Technology

Mod Technology
High-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected.

Mod Monic

Mod Monic
A Focused Mass-DampenerThe Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at a targeted location.

Bioflex Cores

Bioflex Cores
All K2 women’s skis use a combination of fir and spruce in a unique core known as BioFlex, a process where a dense fir core underfoot is fused with lightweight spruce at the tip and tail to reduce swing-weight. For 2012, we have developed three variations of the Bioflex core specifically tuned to a target performance:Bioflex 1 – 60% fir and 40% Spruce – Swing weight reduction with added forgivenessBioflex 2 – 70% fir and 30% Spruce – Reduced swing weight with added performanceBioflex 3 – 80% fir and 20% Spruce – Increased performance, strength, and durability

Best Uses

After 4 seasons of lessons, lessons and more lessons I can finally ski. As the old rossignol harmonys wouldn't do anymore I searched for new ski's and found the K2 superglides. Took me everywhere this season; from powder to mush and from easy to steep and icy. Very easy turning and super speed! Excellent control on all conditions. For the first time I could outrun my son, haha. Brilliant ski!!

This is a great ski! I demoed several others and this ski was the best. Spending 80% of my time skiing in Michigan, this ski performs well on both groomed trails, hard pack and thick piled snow. Highly recommend.

demo'd this ski in Whistler last spring - nice little intermediate ski - but stupid name sounds like a tampon so I could not recommend it on the name alone - obviously the marketing department is run by guys
