Technology

Triaxial-braid
The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.
Wood-core
K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound, and a liveliness only found in wood core skis. Our wood cores consist of a blend of different species of wood based on the desired flex and target performance of the ski.
Twintech-sidewall
Twin Tip specific construction increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90-degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The TwinTech construction rolls the top material into the sidewall, reducing the angle that is prone to abuse, minimizing ski-to-ski impact damage.
Park-flex-pattern
With the help of our athletes K2 has developed a unique core profile that gives the tip and tail of our Park a flex pattern with more pop and holds deeper in presses and butters. This park specific core has more flex in the tip and tail but keeps the mid-body rock solid for control and confidence.
Swap-base
The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.
Jib-rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound

Featuring an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot, Jib Rocker offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with enhanced pop for unmatched ollie power.

Simply put, Jib Rocker is designed for ollies, butters, and predictable pop.

      Comments about K2 Skis Domain:

As a ski instructor I often have to ski backwards. With these skis and fully centered bindings I can now ski and demo anything front and backwards. As a totally birectional ski it does make my life so simple. And a great ski for all terrible conditions especially spring cruds and soft snow. Indeed overlooked as a great skis. But have the bindings fully centered and find the sweet spot on these. You will be surprised.

            Comments about K2 Skis Domain:

This ski is bred for shredding the park, and it does just that. Durable edges hold up while disastering or big airs onto rails. 90 underfoot allows for great edge control/pretzeling but is wide enough for 50-50s. Jib Rocker provides freedom without edge catching on lips. I was a bit worried at first that Jib Rocker would give way when landing too far backseat, but was pleasantly surprised when it held up on some sketchy backseat landings and popped me right back upwards onto my feet. Vital, especially when you are 6+ feet tall. Topsheet graphics pop in photos. Tip and Tail stay strong while buttering/pressing allowing for a responsive pop/ollie/nollie when needed. Super fun on groomers for high speed reverts and carving switch. Wider than most other park skis allowing you to romp around all-mountain without worry.

Don't expect to stay on top of the snow on those deep days or in the backcountry, these are designed for park/freeride. This ski can handle anything under 5 inches of fresh like a boss.

If you spend more time in the park than mobbing around the hill think twice before jumping to the Recoil. You wont be disappointed with the Domains

A really fun ski. I ski park all day with these skis and even shoot some urban with them, they're holding up great! They're fairly light weight and have a light swing weight. Super fun and poppy, but the bases do seem to dry up easily so waxing them regularly would be a good idea.

After using the ski all 11/12 season, ( 70 days on that ski only. Rest of the season i used obSETHed. ) i must say that i love it! The flat base makes it soo easy to play with on boxes, and rails. After all that time i never got tired of using them, and this season i will see if i can kill them. Just to get me a new pair of Domain.

                  Comments about K2 Skis Domain:

I've only been up on them once, and this is what i have to say. They definately take some getting used to. I've never been on this style of ski before (closest thing are some salomon 1080 guns). It feels really surfy and just ate through all the terrain i brought them on. Spins really easily and feel light once theyre on your feet. Mounted them with look px12's so the weight problem is probably mostly due to the bindings. after TWO RUNS (not even in park, just getting used to them) the topsheets were already all scratched up. Bases are still beautiful, that topsheet though.... it needs some work. Takes a bit of adjusting if youve never been on 0 camber or center mounted skis, but theyre still amazing. I'd give 4.5 / 5 and definately recommend.
