Technology

Triaxial-braid
The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.
Wood-core
K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound, and a liveliness only found in wood core skis. Our wood cores consist of a blend of different species of wood based on the desired flex and target performance of the ski.
All-terrain-rocker-1
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound

All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.

Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.
All-Terrain Profile
Absorb-sidewall
This construction sandwiches a urethane layer in between ABS for shock ABSorption, lessening the impact of harsh landings. Urethane is used underfoot to maximize the dampening, but ABS is used toward the tip and tail to maximize performance and edge control.
Swap-base
The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.

    Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

I'm not a ski expert but I love this ski. I started to do freestyle skiing last year and I decided to go with the Recoils for park skis. I love that if I have had a bad day in the park and don't have to go back to the lodge and get another pair of skis out to go ride around, you just hop on the chairlift and go ski on the same pair. The only con I can think of it is that I fell on this ski after messing up a jump and it sliced my thigh open, but that basically means it has good edges :)

    Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

A versatile ski for all-mountatin and park use. Amazing in the trees and rides through crud like butter. Smooth and responsive. If you love park, you'll love these skis. They are bombproof and last forever!

Although they feel heavier than other park skis and by no means are they heavy they feel quite light in the air.

i ski a lot of conditions at mt. bachelor in oregon, and these skis do it all. in any powder under 2 feet they work great, carve well for twin tip, but the tips do bounce at high speeds. in the park they perform incredibly well, great on rails, boxes, and big air

      Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

Just got the 2014 K2 Recoil ski's a couple weeks ago. Took them out for first time this past weekend in fresh Northeast PA snow, about 6 inches on top of an 18-30 inch base of blown snow. These ski's initiated turns with ease, handled speed well, let me make tight turns when needed, had great edge hold, & a solid land off of ramps. Great skis. I would definitely recommend them, awesome for all mountain and park.

      Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

The Recoil is honestly the best park ski I've ever ridden. It's lightweight, responsive, and has a ton of pop. The early rise helps with butters in the park, and the ski is stiff enough for larger riders and stays stable at high speed. I would highly recommend this ski for anyone in the park!

        Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

Seriously the best ski I've ever rode. I ski every part of the mountains. This ski performs like a park ski in the park, carves groomers great for a twin tip, skis switch perfectly, and bombs trees & moguls. Flotation is solid but its got a thin waist which helps every where else but I can still shred powder on them. If you use the whole mountain as your playground you need this ski. They also land jumps so solid I feel like I can pull anything off in these. I got the 50th anv edition with the red white and blue graphics when the released them last season.

        Comments about K2 Skis Recoil:

The K2 Recoil can go everywhere there's snow and I don't have to worry because the ski can literally handle any condition I put it through. Doesn't matter if you go slow or fast, this ski can handle it all. Don't be afraid to abuse this ski, it's meant to be a punching bag on snow.

I own a season pass to our local ski hill Granite Peak in Wausau, Wisconsin. We don't get that much snow but it handles groomers with ease and rips in the park. I will probably own these ski's until I either get too old to ski or I break them, if that's the case... I'll buy another pair! :)
