Technology

Jib-rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound

Featuring an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot, Jib Rocker offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with enhanced pop for unmatched ollie power.

Simply put, Jib Rocker is designed for ollies, butters, and predictable pop.
Jib Profile
Triaxial-braid
The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.
Wood-core
K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound, and a liveliness only found in wood core skis. Our wood cores consist of a blend of different species of wood based on the desired flex and target performance of the ski.
Cap-construction
Durable and lightweight “cap” skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis’ performance.
Park-flex-pattern
With the help of our athletes K2 has developed a unique core profile that gives the tip and tail of our Park a flex pattern with more pop and holds deeper in presses and butters. This park specific core has more flex in the tip and tail but keeps the mid-body rock solid for control and confidence.
Swap-base
The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.

      Comments about K2 Skis Press:

I have a pair of 2011 Presses 185 cm they work great for sliding boxes in the park and are flexy and you get a soft landing on park jumps. However the swing weight is pretty high and the skis are heavy. Doing spins on small to medium sized jumps is a struggle because sometimes the skis just dont want to come around. Otherwise this is a great ski. Ive skied backcountry and powder with this ski and it seemed pretty responsive.

                  Comments about K2 Skis Press:

If you're a skier on a budget, or simple looking for a lighter ski. Go for the press, you don't need a 700$ Ski from Armada thats gonna last you maybe 2 years you want a durable ski that you could afford to beat up a little, the Press is the ski to do that on. I have a pair of Salomon Suspects and a pair of Line Chronics, both aren't even comparable to the Press. I seriously recommend you buy them they are a light, fun, playful, buttery ski that slays anywhere on the mountain from rails to pow.
