Technology

Triaxial Braid

Triaxial Braid
The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.

Wood Core

Wood Core
K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound, and a liveliness only found in wood core skis. Our wood cores consist of a blend of different species of wood based on the desired flex and target performance of the ski.

Bi-Directional Taper

Bi-Directional Taper
The tip is still wider but closer in width to the tail. This allows the ski to perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction but the taper enables the skier to have similar switch arc for better and more consistent switch riding.

All Terrain Rocker

All Terrain Rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound

All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.

Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.
All-Terrain Profile

TwinTech Sidewall

TwinTech Sidewall
Twin Tip specific construction increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90-degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The TwinTech construction rolls the top material into the sidewall, reducing the angle that is prone to abuse, minimizing ski-to-ski impact damage.

Skin Grommets

Skin Grommets
The new freeride tip and tail grommets are a clean, simple design that no longer requires a plug. The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate both the Z clip for our skin attachments, and the components to build a rescue sled.

Tapered Tip

Tapered Tip
All Freeride skis come with a new tapered tip design and lower profile to maximize tip predictability. Tips with this design have shifted the widest part of the contact point further back to reduce tip weight and deflection in soft and variable snow conditions.

Swap Base

Swap Base
The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.

Comments about K2 Skis Shreditor 112:

This is my everyday ski. Most of my days are spent on Mammoth Mountain in California. Its a very wide open mountain with steeps chutes and variable snow conditions. I need a ski that can handle al the above. The Shreditor 112 I found is that ski! The new design gives it better stability at speed with no tip flop. SO your turns are smooth and you really grip the snow when railing out those arcing turns not bouncing through the turn. 112 underfoot, well you know how it will act in soft snow. But I was blown away by it's agility and playfulness that other wide skis can lack. I really believe that K2 nailed this catagory and its a must try or buy on your list this winter!!!!!

I Use the product 6 out of 7 days. The other day its deep outside so I go with the Petitor 120's. These skis run fast and silent on the groomers and the switch to steep and deep territory is effortless and fun as all gettout!

Comments about K2 Skis Shreditor 112:

Twin tips are not super stiff skis, but they are playfull. All mountain riding from the sous-bois to the grooms to the backcountry trails. I am going to have fun whit them for the next few season. my are a older version of those one the kung fujas. they change my way to ride from a harder board. they are smooth and agyle, its less efforts into your line. at first they seem weak due to there flex, so learn to flex at the same time. not to hard on the legs they absorb nasty vibration from the hard pack snow. in powder they float like a charme. Recap its a easy all mountain board, never tryed them in high alpin but they are going to take me there

Comments about K2 Skis Shreditor 112:

skis are incredibly stable for the amount of rocker and the width. the swing weight is alot better than the k2's in the past used to be. a little heavy over all but that equates into stability as far as im concerned! very floaty for the pow and still shredible in park. forget swapping up on rails tho, still a little too wide for my taste on rails.
