Powder Rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound
This tip has the most elevation and longest measurement of Rocker and offers skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge-hold on firmer conditions.
Simply put, Powder Rocker provides unmatched flotation in deep snow.
-
Tip and Tail Holes
Holes in the tip and tail are not only the attachments points for K2 skins, but they also fit the functional needs of a backcountry skier including the ability to build a rescue sled or construct various ski anchors. The holes are equipped with removable plugs. -
Powder-Specific Tip Design
The widest point of a powder tip is 7cm back from the standard contact point. The design adds stability and predictability while skiing and is less likely to hook or grab in light crusts or variable conditions. -

most every review talks about how great it is in powder but it also slays the frontside, at least if you're a large skier. i'm 6'6" and 250 lbs and couldn't get the ski to chatter on US eastern hard pack straight lines. nothing but stable and smooth edge to edge. except for tight trees, it will be my everyday ski. i was a doubter with enough bank to throw away if it didn't live up to the hype, now i'm a believer jus tryin to raise enough hell to justify it's namesake.it kicks [*], period.

Where to start with these skis... they can charge through practically anything from hardpack on steeps to the crud and the trees. I was a little apprehensive about using them on groomers with the huge rocker, but they don't take "no" for an answer. They do surprisingly well. These skis are super playful and have extra pop off of kickers and in the park.
These skis are definitely not for the antisocial, considering they were a conversation starter on almost every lift.
I would strongly recommend touring these skis, because if you are strong enough to ski them, you are strong enough to tour them, and the ride down makes it all worth it. If you want a ski that can do it all and then some, look no further.

Being a long tine K2 devotee,I just bought the 2011 demo skiis at the mountain last weekend skiied 5 days so far open to close and I cannot rave enough about them,WOW!!!! Next to them They make my Coombas look puny and they were my pow ski after this I think they will be my only choice now
I love the width underfoot. The rocker I was sceptical about thinking it is a kids park ski but not anymore, rockers rock in NW spring snow slush, corn and bumps and cant wait for powder
I am considering the fritchi or dukes but wondering if they are too heavy for touring any comments?
