Bought this ski Friday, drove to Whistler Saturday and was blown away. Powder, Groomers, Slash, this ski does everthing. I could even carve with it. It is the ski I ever looked for. Owned the Salomon Czar before, this ski is 600% better.

Guys out there, It's a no brainer, get this ski.

I'm about 5'8" and 190 lbs

First thing is, this ski might look similar to the old Obsethed. It is not, K2 has managed to create a whole new ski that improves on everything the Obsethed was. The first thing you will notice is the great edge hold, and ability to carve and power through less than ideal conditions and groomers. These skis are powerful, nimble, responsive, and controllable in conditions all the way down to the hardest snow you can find in the west. The Pettitor is a blast in basically any snow condition, and can actually make skiing in poor conditions fun again! Like others have mentioned, this is greatly due to the camber profile and rigidity of the ski. These characteristics make it the ultimate tool for getting after it.

The next thing you notice, is the rocker and tapered tips allow for effortless floatation and buttery pow slashes. Moving these things around in any deep snow (even the heaviest of PNW duff) is super easy, whether it be negotiating terrain traps, tight trees, or just blasting in the wide open. No tip dive, no tip hooks, just smooth action. Even with nearly 200 lbs mounted nearly center, still no tip dive. Dropping big cliffs, charging huge lines, and generally carrying a lot of speed and momentum in deep snow comes naturally. Stomping huge drops with these is a breeze, stay centered and keep some pressure on the front of your boots and you'll bang out like a pro, the tail is nice and rigid, keeping a slightly backseat landing from turning into a 100ft long shin banging wheely. Mounting them at +6 seems to make them very nimble, easy to swing, and yet well balanced in all conditions. It also makes for well balanced stomper landings. Not to mention it's a must for any switch riding.

I've got a few days in touring with these, all smiles each time.

As with all the other K2's I've had over the last decade, these things are holding up great. Very few scratches, extremely reiliant to edge blowouts and core shots even after landing on rocks on occasion or making turns just to realize the slope is scoured and bare and basically all rock.

In a nutshell, this ski is the best ski I've ever riden and inspires confidence and brings a whole new joy to both variable conditions and powder. Essentially it's the ultimate one ski quiver!

Pettitor is the ski to rip on. It is the perfect combination of rocker and camber. Let me tell you that the underfoot camber profile completely blows my mind, I absolutely love it! The Pettitor is like last year's Obsethed on steroids and it all comes from the camber under foot, (and the fact it's a little wider and has a tapered tip and tail), but the aggressive camber under foot! I think we have a winner for the new standard of how a pro-model ski should be constructed, can't get any better than this camber/rocker profile!
Have rode my Pettitors on all conditions and they handle like no other. Obviously these skis rock pow like no other, but the real deal thing is that you can hit the crud and hard pack just like a typical ski (this has got to be from the aggressive underfoot camber profile) It feels like I have two skis on, when it's time to stomp em out in the big dumps all you have to do is make sure you are ready to land, and then when there is a drought or some variable conditions it's like I have on some carving sticks.
Mount my skis true center, have for a long time, and the Pettitor rides amazing, forwards or backwards. And when it's time to jump turn extreme team style an icy slope these come around like a champ. The swing wright feels really even in the air and on the hop turns. The ski holds an edge on the ice and floats with poise when you GS turn the powder. Seriously can't say enough about the ski and the amazing camber profile.

I took this ski out after one of the biggest snowfalls of the season here in Alberta, my friends had their little groomer skis, and where not going anywhere, so they ended up being my camera men :) But the entire day I was skiing steep and deep lines, I was not worried about sinking, all I worried about was the day ending. I have my skis mounted with the Salomon Guardian Binding, and thats what I recommend, these skis where great for taking hikes out into the side country. They are very stable for hitting cliffs and cranking on the speed. They did become quite squirrely on the ice or scraped off spots, but what do you expect? These skis are the best ski ever!! And they are also scratch resistance, I hit a few rocks with the sidewall, traversing some sketchy terrain, and they didn't even have a scratch or a ding in them.....very impressed!!!

I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed =)

i had a hunch this ski would be the real deal after doing some due diligence online and checking other reviews.

This ski has blown my mind all week in Whistler.

Just rode my 189 Pettitors for 3 days in Whistler at both Whistler and Blackcomb.

Conditions were variable last week , 3 days i rode , varied from lots of snow to blower pow to west coast snot to fast groomers to steeps and small bumps.

This ski absolutely kills in all conditions.

The only thing i didn't ski was ice or terrain park.
I could not believe how much fun it was to confidently destroy pow in the trees, even the cut up stuff was handled with ease by the Pettitors. The turn radius makes it easy to navigate in tighter spots but the ski has no problem making huge GS turns down powder fields and groomers.
Can pretty much do everything !

This ski has turned skiing into a new sport for me.

Total Gamechanger.
