What have you been up to this offseason? After Breck closed at the end of April I flew home to Melbourne for some chill time. I then found a cheap plane ticket to Bali and flew up to indonesia for two weeks of surfing and sun. Then soon after getting back from Bali I came back to the US for some Summer skiing at Mt. Hood. I've been staying at the K2 house with a bunch of other skiers and snowboarders, which has been so much fun! When you were coming up, what skiers inspired you? Pretty much all the skiers in Propaganda. That was the first ski movie I owned and I used to watch segments of it every morning before I went skiing. My favourites were Kristi Leskinen, Eric Pollard and JP Auclair.
Whose skiing are you stoked on today and why? Megan Gunning, Kaya Turski, Keri Herman, Ash B, Dania Assaly and Jen Hudak What was your best day on snow last season? I have had two- today was one of them. I learnt a new trick which I was starting to think that I would never get on snow. The second one was in Austria at the Austrian Open. Instead of watching the guys compete, my friend and I skied 2 ft of fresh untracked snow all morning. What is the craziest thing you experienced last season? Totaling my car on I-70. I was driving back to Breck from Vail, the road was icy and next thing I knew my car was spinning across the highway. It ended with a mild concussion and a free ride to the Frisco hospital. Definitely a crazy experience. Tell us one thing that no-one knows about you. I like eating ice cream out of cups, not cones. span> Does training ever end? When will you start really getting in ski shape and what is your training routine? When I get home... That's usually the plan. I do bikram yoga, swim, run, and pump massive amounts of iron in order to get my swell on. What are your plans for the 2010-11 season? I'll be based out of Breckenridge again and traveling around to where-ever seems to be the best place to ski. Who are your other sponsors? Sweet Protection, Bolle, Tecnica, Breckenridge, Pow gloves and Skins.
