Breaks so easy!!!

By Joe Blow

from Calgary AB

After only a couple of times using my poles, the latch that holds the two parts together broke in half. The plastic that composes of the latch is not very strong and the part that holds it together is not very thick.

Latch Broke on Mine Too!!!

By Sandman

from Pittsburgh, PA

After less than 12 uses, the plastic locking clamp broke on one pole. The plastic appears granulated and not manufactured properly. I easily removed the faulty clamp, but K2 refuses to replace it. K2 skis are great. Don't buy the poles, Bad Plastic.

Room to improve

By N/A

from South Lake Tahoe CA

One latch broke about 10th time I used them. Over a year old, so no warranty and K2 tells me: (1) can't buy the part (2) cannot pay to fix (3) cannot buy one pole. I am a long-time really big K2 fan and will continue to be one but this has been a disappointment as I never abused them. K2: you can and should step it up a bit on this. Until such time as that happens, recommend Black Diamond or Life-Link. The semi-good news: another use for duct tape to at least get home.

Pros

  • Adjustability
  • Big baskets
  • Ease Of Adjustments
  • Great grip
  • Great straps

Cons

    Best Uses

    • All day
    • Any where
    • Every day

use to use at least three different set of poles. not any more. great and easy adjustability for on piste to off piste to climbing. have used other adjustable poles in the past which just felt like big heavy adjustable poles, not these. these have great swing weight.
