Speed-rocker
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility

Simply put, Speed Rocker offers high performance precision and edge hold on firm snow.
Speed Profile
Speed-rox-technology
Core: Strength and Structure
A K2 ski is designed with a primary core and structural layers that determine the flex along the entire length of the ski.

MOD: Suspension
Added on top of the ski’s primary core is a secondary core called the MOD structure, which essentially acts independently as a suspension system, quieting the ride of the ski. The key is that the MOD structure does not change the overall flex of the ski.

Carbon Web: Increased Edge Hold
A raised X-shaped pattern has been added to specific regions of the MOD structure to support a Carbon Web. This X-shaped carbon support is furthest from the core to increase torsional rigidity, for greater edge-hold and grip. It works independently of the primary core so the overall longitudinal flex is unchanged.

Speed Rocker: Effortless Initiation and Accuracy
The addition of Speed Rocker or All-Terrain Rocker makes turns effortless with greater accuracy and edge hold.
Metal-laminate
Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and titanal above and below the core. Metal Laminates provide damp, accurate, unshakable performance, ideal for expert and advanced level skiers.
Bioflex-cores
All of K2’s women’s skis use cores that feature a combination of Aspen, Paulownia, and Bamboo. BioFlex cores are comprised of strong Aspen wood underfoot, which is fused with lightweight Paulownia in the tip and tail using a specific interlocking pattern that reduces swing-weight and provides a smooth-flexing ski. For 2013/14, K2 continues to apply this technology through one of the following three variations of BioFlex, each specifically tuned to target different performance goals: Bioflex 3 – 80% Aspen/20% Paulownia – Increased performance, strength, and durability Bioflex 2 – 70% Aspen/30% Paulownia – reduced swing-weight with added performance Bioflex 1 – 60% Aspen/40% Paulownia – Added forgiveness with the lightest swing-weight
Mod-technology
High-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected.
Carbon-web
Enveloping the Mod structure with a carbon weave where the strands of carbon are laid at precise angles for an additional level of torsional rigidity on the secondary core. This keeps the ski light but gives you the additional torsional strength where you need it most.
K2-marker-erc-system
The all-new K2/Marker women’s-specific ERC (Energy Response Contact) binding system is our widest ski binding system, with a 54% wider attachment. Thanks to zinc feet that extend toward the edges of the ski, the ERC system delivers greater precision and control on the wider-waisted Super skis. In addition to being wider, the binding stand height has been reduced by 12%, adding almost 10% in weight savings.

recommended by my instructor (JM) and was he right.I can now apply what he was trying to get me to do. I can now carve at higher speed than ever. So much more stable than my former Volkl skis and much more lively as well. The best ever.

Comments about K2 Skis SuperBurnin 74:

I ski in the East so mostly on packed powder. The MOST perfect thing about the K2 Women's line is that you CANNOT imagine the difference between skiing a generic-made-for-men-ski-but-painted-pink and a ski with the sweet spot (center) of the ski designed for a woman's center of gravity.

Ever take a lesson and hear: "You are sitting back!?" You haven't tried everything to fix that unless you have rocked a pair of Women's K2's!

Do you want to look like one of those skiers that just seems to float and sting with effortless turns? Demo whichever K2 that fits in your ability level...but...plan to improve immediately.

I LOVE this ski because I am fairly aggressive and I grew up skiing men's high performance skis. This is my answer to having the best of both worlds.

Please demo a K2 and FEEL the immediate difference!

I have skied the 'Burnin in all of it's incarnations and have to say this is the best yet! The wider width adds versatility and strong edge hold, while the Roxx and new tip taper add predictability. A great all around carver for the demanding woman skier.

Comments about K2 Skis SuperBurnin 74:

This is my high performance ski-perfect for working on precision skiing. Transitions are smooth and the ride is smooth. It's nimble so playful in bumps and off the groomers. Yet it's stiff in the just the right places to carve wicked turns at high speeds down groomers. At 74 underfoot, it's a versatile ski. If I'm planning on spending time on groomers or even off groomers when it hasn't snowed in a few days, these are the go-to skis.

Comments about K2 Skis SuperBurnin 74:

A ski that cuts snow like a burning knive through butter. A stable ski at any speed, one that longs for blazing speeds. At slower speeds, one feels the weight of these machines but it does dether you from short turns. But it explodes at higher speed, where it remains stable and forgiving regardless of the snow. A racing feel without the pinching impact when a little mistake is made.It grabs ice like few other skis as well. Not the best floater in powder but luckily I have a pair of Superstitious for that

These super sticks consistently deliver a smooth, stable ride with precision, ease, and predictablity. Yes, they hold on steeps and yes, they rip up the firm and groomed, but they are super useable and versatile in so many conditions! This particular pair of skis were given to me, but I would and have recommended them to tons of women looking for the ultimate in fun and control! See, it's a good thing to want to be a control freak :)
