Who did you film with in 2011 and what are your plans for 2012?
The Ordinary Skier was my main focus this past 2011 season. Tried to film with TGR but had a 3 week window in Alaska while filming “One For The Road”, bad weather kept me grounded the whole trip. Plan on filming with TGR this up coming season and maybe a 3D project, but that’s up in the air right now.
Any features or line stand out from the rest in 2011?
The last line I got to ski in Chamonix under the Aiguille De Midi called the Mallory. Very challenging conditions and many rappels. So steep and we were backed up by other groups in front of us so it took 4hrs to ski the line.
Who and what influences your style?
Over the past season skiing the steeps of Chamonix have opened my eyes to new things and athletes I have never known. It’s one of those places that your not doing the gnarliest lines of the day. Your just happy to have survived your day. Many of the past and present riders over there when it comes to the Extreme.
Any close calls last season?
Our guide fell into a crevase right in front of us, that was pretty scary he ended up ok. I had a near fatal fall on the Macho in Chamonix after being pinched tip to tail in rocks.
Any words and advice for up and coming shredders?
Ski and try as many new things as often as possible.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Filming for major motion pictures.
Best and worst travel experience of 2011?
Pretty much all of them, bad conditions, and Volcano’s played a big role in what and where I was.
What’s the one thing you look forward to in the off-season?
There isn’t an off season.
What book must everyone must read cover-to-cover?
The Power Of Now
